Wellbeing in Worthing 2023

Get your body and mind ready for 2023 with our guide to wellbeing in Worthing

The January detox might feel like a bit of an annual cliché but after the excesses of the festive season there is no better way to gear yourself up for the coming year than with a physical and mental cleanse. The great thing about wellbeing is that there is lots you can do for free.

Here’s our guide to wellbeing in Worthing:

Walking – Free

Worthing is blessed with a wonderful natural environment of coast and countryside, so make sure you grasp the opportunity (especially if the sun comes out) and get yourself out. Head to the seafront or up to the downs, breathe in that crisp fresh air and take a moment to reflect on our beautiful natural surroundings.

Heritage walking trails – Free

History fans can explore the local area on foot with the Worthing walking heritage trails. These free history trails, written by local historian Chris Hare, are packed with information and quirky facts which bring the past to life.

Sea Dipping – Free

If you haven’t been dipping all year – now is not the time to start but you may have noticed icy dips are becoming increasingly popular with us coastal dwellers.

If you want to give it a go link up with a local group such as the Worthing Bluetits.

Yoga
If you are looking to connect mind and body there is no better place to start than Yoga. There are plenty of yoga studios in Worthing to choose from. Find your happy place and stretch into 2023. Try Hot Pod Yoga, Just Yoga, Sweatbox.

Fire Salt & Sea
On a chilly winter’s day, it doesn’t get better than sitting in a toasty, Finnish-style wood-fired sauna overlooking the sea. Cool dips in-between sauna sessions in this converted vintage horse box will leave you glowing inside and out.

The Pilates Company
New to Worthing in ‘22, Pilates focuses on balance, strength, posture, and flexibility and is great for all ages. Pilates classes are also available at various other gym locations around the town.

Mindfulness
Enjoy mindful meditation with Kalm Horizons – special sessions to help you reconnect with yourself and find your inner calm. Join group lessons and stillness sessions

Kickboxing
If you are looking for something a little more physical head to Pride Kickboxing, a fun, friendly way to try this sport. Whether your goal is to get physically or mentally fit or both, sign up or pay as you go.

Cycling
The coastal area of Worthing is perfect for an easy bike ride. Download the Donkey Bike App to find a list of pick up locations.
