‘Paddleboarding’ ; is from the ‘Blue Splash’ series of illustrations which Michelle made in response to the beautiful colours seen in the sea in Worthing each summer.  Michelle loves to experiment with coloured inks and for this series she explored the way blue and turquoise inks mix together in a wet wash.

Stoats & Weasels
I’m Lisa Bamford, and I work under the name of Stoats & Weasels from my studio in Brighton. “We don’t stop playing because we grow old, we grow old because we stop playing.” This quote is my motto for life, and I’m happy to confirm that my inner child is very much alive! I produce playful and colourful greeting cards and art prints. The aim of my designs are to make you titter, offer words of (usually cheeky) motivation, and occasionally show your great big softie side. Oh and some are a teeny bit rude, sorry Mum! I also work as a graphic designer, creating logos, website designs, and marketing materials. I love every element of design – and it is this enthusiasm that I bring to every project I work on.

Lead Balloon Co.
I’m James, one half of Lead Balloon Company. I studied fine art at Nottingham Trent University, specialising in painting with a focus on land and cityscapes. I moved to Brighton before making Worthing my home in 2006 with the other half of Lead Balloon Company, my wife Sam. We love living in Worthing and can’t think of a better place to be.

We started Lead Balloon Company in 2020, initially with just a range of digital landscape prints inspired by living between the sea and the South Downs. More recently we have expanded our range and developed bold graphic baseball caps for children and adults along with a range of shopping totes.

Suzie studied illustration at Falmouth University and went on to pursue a career in design and has produced creative work for several household brands. Her recent personal work has been an exciting exploration into bold and colourful risograph prints which she sells
online and at the popular boutique ‘Inspired’ on the prom. ‘I always hoped I would live by the sea again, so moving to Worthing has been a dream come true! I love working in a bold and graphical style as this pairs beautifully with traditional risograph printing methods.’ Suzie is best known for her post code prints, and her latest work features a bold crab illustration with a coral inspired border. More to come

We Are Mountain
I’m Sophie, aka We Are Mountain, after studying photography at Nottingham Trent University I worked on the picture desk at OK! Magazine for many years. In 2013 I moved to Sunny Worthing and started my business creating seaside inspired screen prints. Over the last ten years my little business has grown to include printed tea towels and fabric accessories.

My mackerel screen print was commissioned by the Worthing Emergency Food Depot as a thank you to their volunteers who worked so hard during lockdown. Amongst donations to the food bank, they had a massive influx of tinned fish, which became a standing joke within the team!

I am also lucky enough to be the co-owner of the Inspired with my best mate Gemma!

Hello Dodo
We established hello DODO in 2011 as a bit of a creative side project to work on together but very quickly it became so much more than that to us. We taught ourselves to screenprint and made every mistake in the book, at least twice, until we got it right. Now hello DODO is in it’s 12th year and we are a fully fledged two-person apparel and homeware business, creating fun stuff for fun people! We work from a
little print studio at the end of our garden and from our very colourful shop on Tarring Road.

Our biggest hope is that when people pull on one of our sweatshirts, hang one of our prints or iron on one of our patches is that it makes their day just that bit brighter and more fun…and that can make all the difference, don’t you think?
