Buildings Lost and Saved is an illustrated talk by Susan Belton, chairman of The Worthing Society, and David Clark, its publicity officer.
The current society was formed in 1982 at a time when many significant buildings of historical and architectural value had already been demolished.
The talk will focus on the value of an active conservation movement by illustrating the landmarks lost, most notably in the 1960s and 1970s, and the magnificent buildings saved by the society.
These include Beach House, Pizza Express (Stanford’s Cottage) The Burlington and the Dome cinema.
