Organised by Worthing 4 Refugees (W4R), an informal weekly meet up for local refugees to interact and share experiences and tips while engaging in communicative activities in English.
An ESOL teacher will be there to help (either provided by W4R or Crew’s Kathy Kohl, also an ESOL teacher).
Many local refugees (especially older ones with less English) are quite isolated and this can exacerbate mental health problems and the trauma they may already be suffering due to their situations. We hope to offer them a safe, welcoming space for friendship, community and even involvement in CREW’s groups and events.
