Spring into Soul Gospel Choir present Worthing Black History Month – a programme of events across October celebrating Black Culture in our town.
We begin with a Gospel Choir brunch event at Edge by the Sea in Littlehampton on Sunday 8th 11.30
Saturday 14th October is an all day family friendly Reggae event at AudioActive Worthing 3-midnight featuring DJs, MCs, dancers, vocalists and just outside the venue, West African food from Mama Sheila
Friday 20th October is a MOBO (Music of Black Origin) Live music event featuring local young performers at Cellar Arts Club
Sunday 22nd October afternoon 4-7 is an African Percussion Workshop at the Goose with Sean Quinn and friends from Drumheads Live
Saturday 28th October 8-midnight is the Afrobeats DJ night at Audioactive also featuring West African food from Mama Sheila.
Sunday 29th October 2pm-3pm at AudioActive we have local school choirs brought together by Spring into Soul’s Siggi Mwasote to sing Gospel and African songs, followed straight away at 3pm-4pm by a journey into “Where our music came from”, with Nelson Navarro featuring beats, bass and drums to finish our month.
