In 2020 Manchester-based Jamie Irrepressible returned with his third album under his now critically acclaimed creative guise The Irrepressibles. Titled ‘Superheroes’, this work sonically reflects the Prog, Kraut-Rock, Dark Wave, and Jazz movements which influenced his time living in Berlin to set the scene for a story that explores masculinity, mental health, and a powerful homosexual love.

Having famously collaborated with a number of electronic artists including Norwegian duo Royksopp (The Inevitable End) and ionnalee of iamamiwhoami since sophomore album Nude – vocalist, composer, songwriter, and visual artist Jamie Irrepressible brings his project into the world of electronica. Expanding Superheroes over 2021 with remixes by German duo Felsmann + Tiley, Dutch duo Tinlicker, French/German Rue Oberkampf, with more releases scheduled, as part of a collection of Irrepressible reworks by Royksopp, iamamiwhoami and more. Following 2020 TikTok Viral sensation of “In This Shirt”; an iconic Irrepressibles track which recently made a staggering 49 individual countries Spotify Viral Chart, eleven years after its initial release – The Irrepressibles have never been more current in the music scene with their fan-base exponentially booming Internationally.

In Autumn 2021 we will see the international physical release of Superheroes and the inevitable return of live music when The Irrepressibles will take the stage with an Audio Visual performance of ‘Superheroes’ featuring work by a gamut of visual and film directors including Savvas Stavrou, Alexey Romanowsky, Darin Tufani, and Joel McDermott underlining the band’s reputation as leaders in live spectacle. This beginning with a headline show at London’s Village Underground on the 21st November 2021.
