Local printmaker Marta Jim brings back her popular Sun Prints workshops again this year!
You will learn how to create impressive sun prints from start to finish using ordinary objects and sunlight. This workshop is designed for the complete beginner, no art skills needed.
You will take home your cyanotype prints created throughout the session – perfect for yourself or as a gift.
This old photographic printing process uses a combination of chemicals and UV light (sun exposure) to produce distinctive blue images using organic shapes and objects such as flowers, leaves or paper.
We will be moving from indoors to outdoors throughout the session (depending on weather), which involves stairs.
This is a quick and easy process and, with a few top tips, you will be able to produce your own sun prints at home.
Everything you need is provided. Please note that the chemicals we will use are not toxic but may stain your clothes – suitable clothes or an apron is recommended.
