Ainoa Burgos is a multidisciplinary artist based in Worthing encompassing Photography, Sculpture and Performance.
Her current work Plastic Era is an ongoing research based project exploring the relationship between humans, non-compostable rubbish, and the sea. In this current exhibition titled Optograms of the Sea, the body of work presents a series of Cyanotypes produced with waste extracted from coastal areas around Worthing and Adur through community focused litter picking sessions. With support from Adur & Worthing Trust Creative Commissions 2024, Ainoa was able to host the litter picking sessions and workshops.
Plastic travels through space but also through time and light.
