Painters of Colonnade House

A rare opportunity at Colonnade House this February. Visit the gallery to see the work of our Studio Members and painters Alison Tyldesley and Peter Allwright.

For only a few days, Alison and Peter’s work will be filling up the gallery showcasing Alison’s landscape work and Peter’s naive painting style.

Peter Allwright

Since 2009, Peter has been a full-time professional after being tutored in oil painting techniques by a professional oil painter in evening classes.

A lot of his work has come from commissions, with his paintings selling worldwide and his artworks can be found in galleries across the UK.

Peter is a member of the West Sussex Art Society, and in May 2021 he moved to his studio at Colonnade House.

Alison Tyldesley

Alison is a contemporary landscape artist working primarily in acrylics on canvas.  She aims to capture intense light and atmosphere in her work – particularly glowing horizons, wild skies and seas and receding hills. Her intention is to create an emotional response to landscape and successfully negotiate the delicate balance between representation and abstraction.

Alison studied fine art at Exeter Art College and now devotes her time to painting in her studio and sketching in the landscape. She has exhibited successfully in many UK regional galleries. She shows at the Affordable Art Fairs both in London and internationally with the Linda Blackstone Gallery and is represented by galleries in Yorkshire, Wales and the Midlands.
