Worthing Musical Theatre Company present their 50th Anniversary show,
My Fair Lady
This all time favourite tells the story of Eliza Doolittle, a cockney flower girl, who has real ambition . ‘ I want to be a lady in a flower shop , ‘stead of selling flowers at the corner of Tottenham Court Rd . But they won’t take me unless I can talk more genteel’. When Professor Higgins agrees to teach Eliza to speak like a proper lady, an unlikely friendship begins to flourish and we see her transformation to an elegant lady.
One of musical theatre’s greatest scores including ‘Wouldn’t it be loverly’, ‘ With a little bit of luck’, ‘ Get me to the church on time’ and the iconic ‘ I could have danced all night’.
