Worthing Choral Society will sing the wonderful Mozart Vespers (including the iconic Laudate Dominum with its soaring melody sung by a solo Soprano above the choir). In the piece Mozart sets six Psalms to his inimitable music. Between the sections of the Vespers there will be contrasting more modern choral music including pieces by Elgar, Coleridge Taylor and the well-known setting of ‘The Lord is my Shepherd’ by Howard Goodall (remember the Vicar of Dibley?) and his ‘Live Divine all loves excelling’. There will also be a premiere of Worthing composer Alan Hinchliffe’s ‘According to Sirach’.
