Irlandiani – Smock Alley

al and traditional ensemble Irlandiani launch their new album Smock Alley.

Irlandiani are a collective of historical and traditional instrumentalists who explore Italian and Irish musical connections in the 18th century. Formed by cellist Carina Drury in 2020, they have performed together in venues and festivals in London, Dublin and Cork, and their recordings have been played on national radio in the UK, Ireland and Germany.

This concert draws inspiration from the vibrant musical and theatrical scene of 18th-century Dublin at the Smock Alley Theatre and it’s neighbourhood.

The atmospheric, rich and earthy sound of multiple bass instruments will be accompanied by a projection from artist and animator Matthew Robins, surrounded by the beautiful sea views at the Worthing Pavilion Atrium. Generously supported with funding from the Continuo Foundation.
