Elly Griffiths and William Shaw are successful, award-winning crime novelists. They will discuss how they got into writing and why thecrime genre is so popular. Elly wrote four novels under her own name (Domenica de Rosa) before turning to crime with The Crossing Places, the first novel featuring forensic archaeologist Dr Ruth Galloway. The thirteenth Ruth book, The Night Hawks, will be published in February 2021. William’s The Trawlerman is the fourth in his series set in Dungeness and featuring DI Alex Cupidi. William was previously an award-winning music journalist and is the author of several non-fiction books. He runs an on-line book event and community bookstore
