Our £25m Worthing HQ is at the centre of Rayner’s fast-expanding global footprint, it’s where over 200 specialists from Worthing and nearby areas collaborate on the very latest in surgical eye innovation.
In 2016, Rayner established its Global HQ in Worthing, a purpose-built Research & Development, Management and Production facility with the capability of manufacturing 3 million intraocular lenses each year.
Rayner Intraocular Lenses (IOL) Limited are internationally recognised as pioneers in the development and manufacturing of intraocular lenses, which are highly advanced optics implanted during cataract surgery, and stand at the forefront of innovation in ophthalmology. The company was established in London in 1910 and in 1949 created the world’s very first intraocular lens.
Rayner are proud to engage and partner with surgeons and academics around the world in new product development. The Worthing HQ was designed to enable training, education and research; it features a wet lab, library, training facilities and even a museum on the history of the IOL.
Rayner operates worldwide in over 80 countries through a network of distributors and includes direct sales teams in the United Kingdom, USA, Germany & Austria, Italy, Spain and Portugal.
