This talk will cover the years 1919 – 1939, and cover many fascinating an unexpected topics, including: the boom in nude bathing encouraged by a local vicar; two prominent local fascists, one who promoted ‘red hot jazz, and another who helped found the Soil Association; the extraordinary Ethel Methold and the mini welfare state she created in Worthing in the 1930s, and far more besides. You will be surprised and enlightened!
