Jane Rivers
Artist Jane Rivers, a graduate of the BA (Hons) in Textile Design at Northbrook works primarily with textiles, natural dyes, and slow, integrated methods that explore how cloth can hold memory, transformation, and ecological connection. Each piece begins with the material itself - fibres, plant colour, and place - evolving through process and ethical choice.
Michelle Wilcock
Artist Michelle Wilcock is currently studying for a BA (Hons) in Textile Design at Northbrook. Inspiration for The Dollar Princess emerged following a visit to Kenwood House, where she encountered John Singer Sargent’s portraits of American heiresses.
Motivated by a desire to reinterpret these ‘Old Master’ paintings for a contemporary audience, Wilcock experiments with collage and screen printing to create a modern visual language.
Susan Reid
Artist Susan Reid is currently studying for a BA (Hons) in Textile Design at Northbrook. Her practice is driven by themes of sustainability and recycling, focusing on the creation of unique, one-off pieces through the repurposing and reuse of natural materials.
This exhibition marks the first collaborative showcase for the three artists.
