There’s so much going on to celebrate the Queens Platinum Jubilee in Worthing this year – here’s our top picks of what’s coming up:
3rd-4th June – Worthing Jubilee Concerts – Steyne Gardens
A very special date in the calendar this year with a 2 day concert and light show, in the beautiful grounds of Steyne Gardens, Worthing, celebrating 70 years of Her Majesty’s reign. Tickets in advance.
Friday 3rd Live orchestra with music from the past 70 years of the Queens reign.
Saturday 4th An evening of film and music, including a jubilee finale.
2nd-5th June – The Big Lunch campaign
Residents of Worthing are encouraged to come together to host a street party and celebrations. The council have waived road closure fee’s during this period more information can be found here.
- Street Party on the Prom: Previously held in 2012; there are plans to host a street party on Worthing promenade inviting local residents to come together to celebrate.
2nd-5th June – Shoreham Vintage Fair
A new four day event will take place over the Jubilee weekend offering residents an opportunity to celebrate together on Adur Recreation Ground with entertainment, a Jubilee afternoon tea, stalls and outdoor cinema. – Ticketed
26th June Worthing Theatres presents the ‘Queen’s Knickers‘
Ideal for families this show is programmed for two performances at the Pavilion – Ticketed
Worthing Seafront Gallery
Commissioned by Colonnade House Gallery, enjoy a series of outdoor art exhibitions running in to the lead up to queens official birthday 2022. Free
The Green Canopy initiative
A National initiative to leave a lasting legacy from the Queens Platinum Jubilee. ‘Green fingered’ communities are invited to play their part and plant a tree.
