This independently owned tea room is inspired by all things iconic and beautiful from any vintage period in Britain. Only a pebbles throw from the beach.
The food and drink is a celebration of classic British seaside fayre from PG Tips and British Full English, to Blackdown Sussex Gin and Knickerbocker Glories. There is even a menu for Vintage Little People.
The Dome Kitchen produces the majority of the food in house using some key local suppliers. All the cakes and scones are made daily. Gluten free cakes and sandwiches can be produced on request.
The sharing boards of cured meats, smoked fish and Sussex cheeses are served daily. The tea is whole leaf and the coffee roasted in London. There are beers from Camden, Meantime and Samuel Smith’s Brewery.
There has been a tea room or milk bar here since 1911 when the building was opened as a roller skating rink and cinema. The cinema now has two screens.
